&#8216;<strong>My Voice Counts&#8217;<\/strong> (Ma Voix Compte) project involves advocacy towards Parliament, the Constitutional Court and the Personal Data Protection Authority (APDP) to review the Digital Code, which restricts freedom of expression online in Benin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:38px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong>Activities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Advocacy and consultation for the review of the digital code <\/strong>, with an analysis of article 550 of the Code and proposals for reform in line with international standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><strong>Raising awareness and mobilizing civil society<\/strong><\/strong> by organising public debates in partnership with the Abomey-Calav commune.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><strong><strong>Digital awareness campaign and advocacy webinars<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> on fact-checking, cybersecurity and critical content analysis to mobilise the public around the fight against disinformation and the defense of freedom of expression, and to structure recommendations addressed to the relevant authorities, with the presentation of the InfoCheckBot tool as a concrete technical solution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><strong><strong><strong>Digital advocacy relay on existing citizen platforms<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> aimed at building community support for advocacy messages, creating a space for sustainable digital dialogue, and disseminating recommendations from other project components.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div public forums, resulted in heightened awareness of digital rights and the risks of information manipulation, and the official commitment of five local authorities and five CSOs to better protect freedom of expression online.<br\/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div against misinformation.
